Art Alliance Gears Up for the 2009 Members’ Show

Art Alliance Gears Up for the 2009 Members’ Show
IDYLLWILD, CA, 5/3/09 – Idyllwild artists are readying their entries for the Art Alliance of Idyllwild’s 11th Annual Members’ Show. The annual event showcases an assortment of original art in a variety of media. Works include oil paintings, acrylics, water colors, glass art, photographs, mixed media pieces, ceramics and sculptures made by AAI member artists.

The 3-day event takes place May 8-10, at the Rainbow Inn, 54420 South CircleDr. A Friday reception, from 6-10pm, kicks off the weekend with an evening of refreshments and fun. Enjoy drinks and appetizers as you mingle with the artists and admire their original art. Juried awards and “Artists’ Choice” winners will be announced and you can cast your vote for the “People’s Choice” entry.

The next morning, the fun continues. From 9am-4pm Saturday, and 9am – 1pm Sunday, enjoy an open show featuring the works of more than 75 AAI member artists, also at the Rainbow Inn. It’s the perfect opportunity to start your art collection or find that special, one-of-a-kind piece for your home or office.

On a tight budget? Check out the “Under $100” section, where you’ll find original works of art at affordable prices. Art Alliance artists create unique pieces for this section, with price tags of $99 or less.

The Annual Members Show is part of the Art Alliance of Idyllwild's "Second Saturdays" series, which offers a different art event on the second Saturday of each month from March through October.

The AAI is a 501(c)3 organization, with a mission to promote art and art education while supporting local galleries and artists. For more information on this and other AAI events, call 877-439-5278 or visit our web site at http://www.artinidyllwild.com/.
